Normal people don´t like to fight, we don´t know how to do it, our hands swell, we hear a buzzing sound, and we get a small epileptic attack.
As time goes by, our survival instinct has shut down. We are afraid to put out the blow. We are nobody´s idol, nor any public figure to follow. We are not Muhammad Ali. We receive the blow and don´t know what to do next; we metamorphose, we perform theater, movies, songs, books… to understand the blow, but we can´t achieve it.
And this is because boxing only looks like boxing, and it has to do with anger. Pain is to boxing what sex is to pornography.
ABOUT „IM NOT MUHAMMAD ALI“
Ready for the Ring, boxer Muhammad Ali is about to fight one of the decisive fights of his life, many think it will be his end; Ali, 10 years a boxer, will fight against George Foreman, today´s heavyweight champion; experts think he is dead; after this fight Ali will surely retire, some say.
This project evolves from the short story „Hands that Grow“ by Julio Cortázar, where he narrates the absurd and abnormal swelling of Plack“s hands after having beaten his friend Cary when he said „You´re a coward, a bastard, and a bad poet in addition“, the analogy with one of the most important boxers in history, Muhammad Ali, fight against George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire, in 1974; the relationship with the blow, fall, death, anger, and the impossibility to beat up any person who hurt us physically or emotionally.
The self-reference, the violence, the physical and spiritual pain, the blows we give and take, society´s expectations deposited on the shoulders of a champion, the idol´s figure, impotence, falling and getting up after a bad knock-out. Box, Muhammad Ali, Cortázar, the hands, and our life immersed in all of this; trying once again to explain human nature and his vulnerability.
ABOUT OUR WORK
La Justiciera and Colectivo Charalito are a team of creators whose projects in the last for years are focused on more contemporary research and interdisciplinary and postdramatic theater. This team strives most of all for a type of collective creation and laboratory wise, where everybody involved will work in a similar way, with no hierarchies in the job. They are in constant search of their own new theatrical languages.

Im Rahmen von „Aufbau einer Theatergruppe“, THEATER FÜR ALLE! im Programm Kultur macht stark beim Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater e.V. haben wir mi 15 Kinder aus dem Richardkiez eine Theatergruppe gegründet. „Was wir wollen“ war dabei Programm. Gemeinsam mit den Kindern wurden Ideen für eine Präsentation gefunden und erprobt, Bühnenbild und Kostüme wurden zusammen entwickelt.

„Materialien für eine deutsche Tragödie“ erzählt mit Sarkasmus und Empathie von Macht, Utopie und Tod vor dem Hintergrund des Terrorismus der 70’. Ein ver-rückter Blick auf Geschichte, der die deutsch-italienische Spiegelung nutzt, um rhetorische Schleier sichtbar zu machen und das Heute im Nebel der Vergangenheit zu suchen. Italienische und deutsche Schauspieler spielen in und mit deutscher Sprache und Geschichte und mit allem, was Übersetzung heißt.
Im Anschluss an die Aufführungen ist ein öffentliches Treffen mit dem Autor und einigen Berliner Dramatikern zum Thema „Politik im Theater“ geplant.

Im Rahmen von “Fabulamundi.Playwriting Europe – Crossing Generations” produziert das ITZ Berlin mit der Unterstützung des Kulturprogramms Kreatives Europa 2014 – 2020 der Europäischen Union und des Kofinanzierungsfonds des Berliner Kultursenats, sowie des italienischen Kulturinstituts das Stück des italienischen Autors Antonio Tarantino mit einem Cast aus italienischen und deutschen Schauspielern.
Workshop:
Im Verlauf der Proben werden zwei Workshops abgehalten. Zum einen mit Schülern der 10. Klasse des italienisch-deutschen Gymnasiums Albert Einstein Oberschule in Britz und zum anderen mit älteren Menschen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Theater der Erfahrungen in Schöneberg.

Theater- und Filmworkshop für Jugendliche von 14 bis 20 Jahre
Visuelle Musik
Bewegungen erzeugen Rhythmen, Sätze erzeugen Rhythmen und Klänge – Wir leben mit vielen Erinnerungen und Objekten, die uns ständig in Bewegung bringen und wie der Regen sind. Sie kommen und gehen, kommen wieder, hören auf, fangen neu an und bleiben….
Thema:
das Hörbare mit Farben und Formen darstellen, das Sichtbare durch Musik hörbar machen oder auch zum Erlebnis von Farben und Formen Musik komponieren – Visuelle Musik kennt viele unterschiedliche Facetten. In unserem Workshop werden wir mit visueller Musik am Thema Regen experimentieren. Daraus entstehen ganz persönliche Geschichten, die wir filmisch festhalten wollen.
Ablauf:
Freitag, 27.11.; 17 – 19 Uhr Kennenlernen – was ist visuelle Musik, was ist Sprachlos in Europa?
Samstag, 28.11.; 10 – 15 Uhr Erzähle Deine Geschichte mit Theater, Tanz und Musik
Sonntag, 29.11.; 10 – 16 Uhr Mache einen Film aus deiner Geschichte!
Das Projekt
Speechless in Europe – Sprachlos in Europa ist ein Partizipationsprojekt für junge Menschen in Europa. Ziel ist es, Jugendliche über linguale Grenzen hinaus zu vernetzen und in einen Austausch zu bringen. Dafür finden in Rom, Budapest, Paris und Berlin Workshops statt, in denen Jugendliche sich kreativ mit ihren persönlichen Geschichten im europäischen Kontext beschäftigten. Die Beiträge (Film, Foto, Musik) werden auf der Onlineplattform www.speechless.ypart.eu mit den Jugendlichen in den anderen Ländern geteilt und können kommentiert und geliked werden. In der zweiten Projektphase werden die Jugendliche sich einen Beitrag der Plattform aussuchen, und die Geschichte der Person neu- oder weitererzählen. So entsteht auf
lokaler Ebene eine europäische Dimension. Die besten Beiträge werden zum abschließenden Storytelling-Festival nach Rom eingeladen (21.-24. April 2016)

Malerüberanzüge werden von Menschen zu lebensgroßen Figuren gestaltet, zu unseren Zukunftsavataren. Jeder erschafft seinen Avatar nach eigenen Vorstellungen. Auf den Puppen werden Schriftzüge in verschiedenen Sprachen angebracht, in verschiedenen Schriften. Die Hundertschaft der Figuren wird mit Pomp, Funebre und Musik in einer Prozession durch den Richardkiez getragen. Geweiht ist dieser Umzug den künftigen Generationen, den Menschen, die in den nächsten Jahrhunderten unsere Straßen und Plätze bevölkern, wenn unsere sterblichen Hüllen längst in die Erde gebettet sind.
